Creating project in Info Object Designer

I am facing the following problems in Actuate 10 M 10 Beta s/w.
I have downloaded and installed it on my machine and activated using the license files received fromActuate.

I amfacing the issues in Info Object Designer.

1. Unable to create Profile in Info Object Designer. Had to create the profile in eRDPro and then use it here. However it is not connecting to the iserver though the definition is proper, in Info Object Designer. Does anyone know what is the problem?

2. Unable to create a new Data Connection Definition in Info Obj Designer.

Does anyone have any idea?

A couple of questions: are you using the stand alone Information Object Designer, or the IO Design perspective integrated into BRD Pro? Also, when you created the profile in eRD Pro, were you able to successfully connect to the server from that client?

I am using the stand alone IOD.
The problem is resolved now. I provided the port number of "Message Distribution Service" listener port when it asks for Iserver port during profile creation in IOD.
