Strange spacing in report output
heeltap
Hello,
I wonder if there is anyone who would be able to help? I am trying to display a simple report with some groups and I seem to be getting some strange behaviour in the output. The rows in my table are not uniformly spaced and it makes the report look funny. I have attached a screenshot to help describe the problem.
I have also attached a snippet of the source html generated, and the rptdesign file.
Any help would be very much appriciated.
Thanks
Heeltap.

Hi Heeltap,
If you notice, the bigger spaces come after the "Components" with the larger "ComponentCounts". This is because the small amount of space that the detail and group footer rows are taking up (even though you don't have anything in them, they still render as a small space). Since you're not putting any details in there, try hiding the detail row using the visibility section in the property editor of the detail row. Or just delete the detail row altogether if you're not going to use it ever. I wouldn't worry about the group footer because they all have that, so without the detail row spacing, they'll all be even.
Hope this helps.

Michael,
Thank you so much. I hadn't realised that it would still render the data rows. I have removed them and my summaries look great now.
