Passing multivalues from custom parameter page

Hi all,
I have a requirement where i have two multiselect lists,

1) where the second list should be populated depending on what values been selected in the first list

can anyone please suggest me is it possible, and if so how can it be done,

2)iam trying to use a custom parameter jsp with birt custom tags, but unable to figure out how to pass multivalues to the report and also the second list which is also multiselect is populted from the first dropdown which is again a multiselect.

If anyone can respond immediately,its highly appreicated.

Hi Rama,

So, you are wanting the second list to be filled with the items that were selected from the first parameter list? Or with values associated to the parameters that were selected in the first list?

As for passing the multiple select parameters? Are you using the BIRT viewer? If so, you should be able to pass multiple parameters in the URL like &parmname=parmvalue1&parmname=parmvalue2....etc.

Thanks for the quick reply, actually

1) the second list should be populated by the values that were selected in the first list which is a multiselect list box, i.e., for example i select two district offices in the first list, so it should populate me the judges for those selected district offices.

2)Secondly, judges again is also should be a multiselect list box, multiple values will be selected for the judges, so upon running the report, it should take these multiple district offices and judges as well to populate the data for those selected report parameters.

Hope i clearly explained my scenerio, please suggest me whether it can be done.
