integrating reports in existing web application

first i would like to say thx to users of this forum
they really helped me out in generating birt reports
what i want to know is
how to encorporate birt in existing web application?
what file s r required ? where to put (plz tell if some diffrent structurenot for common structure)
and also want to know that is it possible to hav db conn in jsp and passing result set to BIRT.
