Birt 2.3 Performance issue

Hi,

I am using BIRT 2.3 for reporting. In report i used Data cubes. I am fetching almost 5000 rows. It given out of memory errors but if i decrease the number of rows up to 2000 it takes almost 2 to 3 minutes.
Can any boddy tell me how i can improve the performance issue of BIRT.

Are you running this report from the BIRT Designer, an application you built, or the iServer Express? In the Designer, you can increase the amount of memory available to the Eclipse IDE by changing the eclipse.ini file with something like:

-vmargs
-Xms128m
-Xmx512m
-XX:MaxPermSize=256m

You would need to do something similar if you are deploying your report to an application or iServer Express.
