Unable to connect to the database

org.eclipse.birt.data.engine.odaconsumer.ConnectionManager openConnection
SEVERE: Cannot open connection.
org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.JDBCException: There is an error in get connection, Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES).
at org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.JDBCDriverManager.doConnect(JDBCDriverManager.java:211)
This is the error iam getting where in the report i checked the database connection it is perfect there but when runing the application i am getting this error...
Any help will be appriciated...

Any solution to this problem. I'm having the same issue.
I have verified that my connection information is correct including the db permissions.
Help would be appreciated.
