Actuate BIRT communicates with the iServer over port 8000 by default. You need to ensure that your VPN is allowing you to communicate to the server over that port.

While connecting with Port No 8000 the Application is redirecting to the port no 11600. Please let me know the use of port no 11600 and any configuration changes to be made while connecting remotely using VPN to avoid redirction to port no 11600.

    Thanks,

    Hi Prabu G,
Sorry for not mentioning it previously, but you will be required to have port 11600 open. This is the port used to fetch information from the Information Objects. It is a separate process in the iServer, and therefore cannot also run on port 8000.

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Thanks Rob.

Do u have any document describing about 11600.

After the port 11600 is opened, is any configuration changes is required in iserver specifically to connect remotely.

    Thanks,
