BIRT and Pentaho metadata editor
jonathansa
hi,
I have made a metamodel (.xmi) with pentaho metadata editor.
Now i would like to use this metamode as source in my report. I use BIRT to make my report so my question is : "how can i put a metamodel made with pentaho as source in BIRT?".
Thank you for your answers!

hi,
pentaho is another software. as far as I know birt doesn't allow to import xmi datasource. you can use it in bentaho report designer or use any data integration software (etl) to transform it into birt datasource.

Thanks for your answer!
Somebody told me in an other forum that is possible to handle BIRT ODA (open data access). This could allow me to put my metamodel as source in my BIRT report. But i don't know to do with BIRT ODA.

could you post link to the other forum here?
I could take a look and see if itr works.
I work with both - Birt and Pentaho but never had think about such migration.
Thanks,

It's a french post and it's not very interesting. It only said that we can make an ODA component to allow BIRT to access to access to a metamodel.<br />

Thank for your interrest.
