separate PDF per group

Hi all BIRTs

I'm facing problem that I have to output some data from DB (several hundred thousands entries) and generate some kind of PDF form for each.

I'm grouping them by some attributes but resulting PDF would be really huge, so I have to create separate files per group.

My question is if there is some builtin feature of BIRT that can create separate PDF file per defined group/groups.

You could create a parameterized report and a java class that calls the report with all the different parameters, so that an individual report is ran for each parameter/group. Or, you could use a report server like the <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.com/products/birt-report-server/#features'>iServer Express</a> to schedule a report for each parameter to be executed.

Yes, I have looked at some tutorials about BIRT integration and I have my report parametrized already, so it will be my way.

This is only one time job, so anything more complex will be probably worthless.
