Designing a report with multiple pages
msoucy
I have a simple question. How do you design a BIRT report that is going to be more than one page long? Do you create a design file for each separate page and when the report it written they will all be produced in on PDF?

Hi msoucy,
You could create separate report designs for each page if you'd like, or you could create it all on one design and just use page breaks to set everything up how you'd like it.
Hope this helps.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your reply. One more question though. How do you add a page break?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
When you select an element in the design window, you go down the the property editor to the page break section and set the page break after setting to "always". This'll make it so the report always breaks to the next page after that report element. To format your report exactly how you want it for pdf, using grids and fixed layout could be useful as well for setting exact dimensions.
