minimum Config required in Tomcat

hi i want to know abt minimum config required for birt in tomcat 
as sample web application hav total size of 40 mb its not poss to use it in existing project 
i just need to generate reports in html and pdf formats so is there anyone who can tell me abt min. config to b needed in tomcat 
i m sure there r to many extra file (like file for sample DB ,oda flat files etc.) will b there whi ill never required as my db conn is jdbc

If you are not using the Viewer capabilities, then you can produce HTML and PDF files from the BIRT Report Engine with around 10MB worth of libraries. After you download the BIRT Runtime, look in the ReportEnginelib directory to see the files.

but even 10 mb 4 reports seems lilke big requirement
can v use BIRT with lesser requirements???
as Existing application has size around 30 mb
it seems odd to use birt with such a large size
