exporting report to excel - hidden columns

Hi all,

We have designed a report with 40 columns , based on data the the columns are visible/hidden. This works fine in html/pdf formats, but when we export the report to excel, the hidden column space is shown.

How to overcome this issue. we are using BIRT 2.2

Hi vsub,

You probably already have an answer for this, but in case someone else using version 2.2 has the same issue...

I checked this out in version 2.2.2 and 2.5.1 and don't see the same, so it must've been a bug in the earliest XLS emitter that was worked out. I don't have a copy of 2.2.0 to confirm this though.
