Not Able to launch Flash Charts on Web Portal
Shilpa
I made a report having flash chart and deployed it on web portal using Jetspeed.
While viewing report through web,message is displayed that "Flash Chart report items are not supported in this report format."
I have also added all the plugins available from eclipse to my webreport folder.
Can anybody tell me what should I do to embed Flash objects also in my reports launched through portal?

Hi Shilpa,<br />
<br />
Are you using Actuate BIRTs Flash charts? If so, you need to use Actuate BIRT Viewer to have these display correctly. If you are using open source WebViewerExample with you own flash objects, then maybe you should try the output mapping instead of the frameset mapping. Maybe the AJAX stuff in the frameset is interfering. In the devShare, there is a nice <a class='bbc_url' href='

; explaining this mapping and other options.

<br />
These two documents from the documentation page should help you out with installing Actuate's viewer:<br />
<br />
<a class='bbc_url' href='
http://www.birt-exchange.com/documentation/Manuals10/java-component-install.pdf'>Installing
an Actuate Java Component</a><br />
<br />
<a class='bbc_url' href='
http://www.birt-exchange.com/documentation/Manuals10/creating-custom-deployment-kit-apps.pdf'>Customizing
and Integrating an Actuate Deployment Kit</a><br />
<br />
Also, the <a class='bbc_url' href='
http://www.birt-exchange.com/wiki/Download_and_Install_the_Actuate_Java_Components/'>getting
started guide</a> in the wiki should help too.
