BIRT Report Viewer Behind a Firewall
cuervopunk
Hi, we have successfully deployed the viewer on a JBoss 4.2.0.GA running on a Solaris. When we try to access the viewer from outside the network we are able to view the welcome page, but when we try to execute the example report after 1 or 2 minutes an incomplete page is displayed.
JBoss is listening to port 8080, there is an F5 which is NATing traffic coming from outside so that when you access the webpage you do it in a secure way (port 443). My personal opinion is that the firewall may be dropping the JBoss answer but. I was wondering if BIRT's answer uses some additional port (which I think it doesn't) or if it has issues when handling untrusted certificates (which I think it shouldnt cause the server is not running over https)
Thanks in advance!!!!
