Copying reports from one iServer to another

Hi,

I apologize in advance if this is an extremely newbie question:

I would like to copy reports from our staging iServer-express installation to our prodction installation. Ideally, I would like to accomplish this without having to re-publish the reports from the BIRT and eSpreadsheet designers, since there is a possibility of introducing error. What I want is to copy the exact file that is on staging to production in a single step.

If you do not want to use the designer's integration with the iServer Express, you should write a simple program using the iServer Express web service interface to download the file from staging and then upload to your production environment.

Is there a way, using the designer's iServer integration to pull down the report design that is on the server?

Yes. You can drag the file that is on the iServer to your navigation view and drop it in a project. Then you can drag it to another iServer Express server or use the publish wizard.
