BIRT in jboss
JamesBond
I am new to the BIRT, but I am working on a existing application using BIRT.
We used 2.1.1 before and now I have the task of migrating it to 2.3.1.
I have couple of questions
Q) How do I migrate the reports?. Won;t they be compatible with the new 2.3.1. Or should I open those reports in the 2.3.1 Viewer and save them back so that they are compatible with 2.3.1?
Q) We have the BIRT runtime in Jboss app and we use both pdf and html.
Do I have to copy the runtime at two places? one in jboss/server/<my-app>/lib and jboss/server/<my-app>/ROOT.war/WEB-INF/lib ?
thanks

Hi JamesBond,<br />
<br />
Your reports from 2.1.1 will most likely work in 2.3.1, but you may want to download the 2.3.1 designer and run them in there to make sure before upgrading your deployed viewer. There may be minor changes you'll have to make because of changes in BIRT since 2.1.1.<br />
<br />
As far as deploying to JBoss, <a class='bbc_url' href='

; should show you all you need to do.<br />

Hope this helps.
