Aggregation in a Grouped Report
Iqbal
All:
We are having trouble with a report generated from the sample data included in the csv file. We are looking to generate a grouping report by CATEGORY_1 and CATEGORY_2 with the sum of ID and NUMBER for repeat occurrences of CODE, NAME_1 and NAME_2. I've highlighted the repeat rows in this sample.
Thanks for your help
Iqbal

Iqbal,
Can you explain more of what everything in the .csv file is? Or send me a runnable version with all the extras deleted. Thanks.

Iqbal,
Nevermind on explaining more about the data. I opened the file in Excel and it was easier to read. I deleted the necessary stuff to run the report. So, you're not wanting to display the ID#, you want to count the number of ID's that have the same Code, Name 1, and Name 2 and also add up the "number" field for those same rows? Using groups, aggregations, and suppressing duplicates, I was able to get what I think you're wanting. Please see the attached report. It was created in 2.3.1 and uses the sample data you provided. If this report is not correct, please explain more about what you're wanting. Thanks.
