data set error

Hi, I hav created data set with query running on it...
but when i again trying to edit the data set then it is showing the error as
"An unexpected internal exception occured.Please see log for detail".
whts the problem in that?

Hi Software,

Have you taken a look at the log file? Does this happen with all dataSets, or is this the only one? Are you able to recreate this issue with the sample database?

that problem is occuring to only that data set..
what is log file? and where is it?
other data set is opening correctly.

Try looking in these files:

yourWorkspace.metadata.pluginsorg.eclipse.birt.report.viewerlogs

Also, you might try re-creating the dataSet. Could just be a fluke. What is the query you used?

I hav recreated that data set many times but still that error is showing and
still its not opening.

Have you found the log file to see the error? What type of dataSet is it? If a query based dataSet, can you post the query? Thanks.
