Using a COM/ActiveX/OLEobject within a scripted datasource

Hello,

I'm trying to connect to a HP Quality Center instance to report on Bugs - I've been trying to use the ActiveXObject method to instanciate the top level COM/OLEObject but receive errors.

Am I barking up the wrong tree - does BIRT's Javascript environment even support using the ActiveXObject method?

What would be an alternate method to connect to a COM api?
