Excel Export formatting % inconsitently
cmrdjr
We have a report that in BIRT has percentages. The display in BIRT is perfect. When the user exports the report to Excel some of the percentages get messed up. Here are some examples:
BIRT: (699.06)% EXCEL: (699.06)%266
and then a few detail rows later
BIRT: -8.51% EXCEL -8.51%
BIRT: 15.32% EXCEL 15.30%
and then a few detail rows later
BIRT: -8.51% EXCEL -8.51%

Hi cmrdjr,
What version of BIRT are you using? And can you duplicate this problem with the sample database so I can run the report? Thanks.
cmrdjr
BIRT Version: 2.3.0
Excel Version: Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (12.0.6331.5000) SP1 MSO (12.0.6320.5000)
I was able to duplicate the % formatting issue, but not the rounding issue. Since neither seemed to be consistent I was surprised I could duplicate either. Here is the file.

cmrdjr,
It looks like the issue was resolved in 2.3.1. I see what you reported when I run it in 2.3.0, but when I run the report in 2.3.1, everything looks as expected. So, if you can upgrade to 2.3.1, it should work correctly.

Thanks for the testing and verifying that a newer version of BIRT has a fix for this issue. Unfortunately I cannot upgrade at this time. Hopefully I will be able to upgrade sometime in February.
