Report 7 : Charts and Axis

Hi,

While creating a Graph, How can I use the "scale" window to customize my X-AXis. (It's also a Category"

On Y-Axis, It's fine.

In my scenario,

I want my X-Axis (Which represents the days a particular Job runs) to be as follows..

2 4 6 8 10 12 14

I am unable to "code" my values. How do I accomplish that?

Also, How does the Data get represented? I mean there is no Drag and Drop concept. How does BIRT know whare to put the data on the chart. Could you please explain that as well.

Hi Nurani,

I believe if you set up the chart the way you want it with the proper field in the x-axis box. In the format section of the chart editor, go to the xaxis and deselect is category axis. The correct values will still be used, but it won't put just the category values on the axis. Then, you should be able to use the scale option to set the scale as desired.
