Export report to PDF does not display the data in the correct manner.
NikhilNaik
Hi,
When I export the report in the PDF format, the data in the report is not displayed correctly.
While trying to print the report in PDF format, some of the columns are scrunched together.
Please see the attached "PDF Display Error.jpg" file.
In the screen shot I have attached, label of one column is "Description" and the label of the next column is "Severity".
If I run the report then it is displaying the report correctly, but if I export the report in PDF format, then some of the columns are scrunched together.
Is it possible when dealing with reports of a larger nature, the report can print Landscape vs. Portrait?
Please help me out in fixing this.
Thanx in Advance...
Thanks
Nikhil Naik

Hi Nikhil,
What version of BIRT are you using?
NikhilNaik
The report is created by using "Eclipse BIRT Designer Version 1.0.1" with Version "3.2.14".
The .rptdesign file shows
<report xmlns="
http://www.eclipse.org/birt/2005/design"
; version="3.2.14" id="1">
<property name="createdBy">Eclipse BIRT Designer Version 1.0.1 Build <20051130-1157></property>
Thanx
Nikhil

Nikhil,
I don't have a copy of 1.0.1 to look at, but I know that in newer versions, you can click on the master page section, then in the general tab of the property editor, you can change the orientation to landscape. I imagine this property was there in 1.0.1 as well. Let me know.

I tried it, but still it is giving the same result.
Is there any other way?
thanks
Nikhil
