[beginner]how to control the page header
sunny_song
Hello,
I need to design a 10-page report in which only the 3rd and 4th pages have a header. But I don't know how to realize it. Could someone give some advise? thank you.

Hi sunny_song,
You can use multiple master pages on your report. If you're going to have certain report items on pages 3 and 4, you can create 2 master pages and apply the one with the header to the items that are going to be on pages 3 and 4 and the other one to the rest.

thank u Michael
i've adopted your advice yet there is still some problem.
You know, my design is 9 pages,1-4 with both a header and a footer, 5-9 with only a footer.
I use the following procedure:
1.cerate 2 master pages, named A(with both a header and a footer) and B(with only a footer).
2.select the first grid in the 1st page and then click 'Page Break'. then in the Master Page list, choose A.
3.select the first grid in the 3rd page and click 'Page Break',hen in the Master Page list, still choose A.
4.select the first grid in the 5th page and click 'Page Break',hen in the Master Page list, choose B.
But the result shows in Page 3 and 4 there is no header. What's more, in my colleague's computer environment, he even can't see the header in page 1 and 2. I don't know why.
Another question is, how can I set the first page with a page margin, and the other pages with another page margin? Thank you.
I'm looking forward to your reply.
Sincerely
Sunny

Sunny,
Again, the margins should be able to be controlled with the use of multiple master pages. If you're using multiple master pages, you may want to apply the master page to every "main" report item.
