Case statement in Information Object designer

Hi All

I want to dispaly the data by the filter condition in the IOD like below

Select Val, tab1.col1, tab2.col1
From ......
where ... And
(Case When Val=1 then tab1.col1
When Val=2 Then tab2.col1
End) = 'data'

In the database i have both val=1 and val=2 data but in the output i am getting only for Val=1 data.

Please Help me in this.
