Visualize group row in Charts
m4inzZ
Hey folks,
I have a problem and I can't figure out a solution. I hope you can help me!
I have a table grouped by one attribute. I further have some aggregated figures in the Table-Group-Header row. Now I want visualize ONLY the figures in the Table-Group-Header-row and ignore the detail rows.
I've binded my chart to the desired Table. On X-Axis are my grouped rows and on Y-Axis are my aggregated figures. Everything fine so far.
Unfortunatly I have alot of duplicate values on X-Axis (1 for every Detail-Row). Is there a possibility to "hide" them???????

m4inzZ,
You should be able to group the values on the x-axis and use the aggregate expression of "first" to display only the first one of each x-axis value. You can find the button to access this option next to the x-axis expression in the select data tab of the chart editor.
Hope this helps.

hey mwilliams,
yes thats right...
unfortunately I don't have this option, if I bind the chart to a report element (in my context a table).
and by binding it to the dataset i would need some kind of "distinct sum" to realize this...

m4inzZ,
Can you make a sample report like this with the sample database or with a flat file of your data so that I can look at it more closely? I'm not exactly clear what your data looks like in the hidden detail rows and what aggregations you're using to get the values you're charting. So, it's hard for me to recreate.
