How to suppress display of TOC items?

Hi,

for every group I created, there is automatically an entry in the TOC of the pdf. But I don't like them to be displayed.
I've already learned that I can delete these entries by editing the group items and changing the "Item Expression" under "Table of Contents" to "null".
But it doesn't work exactly like I want. The hierarchy is still displayed, but without labels.
I have attached an image file to show the effect.
Is there anything I made wrong or I have forgotten?

Hi Christina,
don't know if you already found out, but you can suppress complete TOC by editing the Group properties.
In 'Edit Group' you can leave the Field 'Item Expression' under Table of Content empty.
Then no TOC is generated for this Group.
