Export diagram to CSV

I would like to export reports as CSV. The example provided for BIRT
exports tables and a text elements.

Has anybody a solution to export diagrams as CSV? I would expect
something like a table with the values in the columns.

The problem is that I cannot find the interface to implement a diagram.
Could anybody explain how a diagram is created in BIRT and how an
emitter for a diagram could be implemented to create CSV?

Any clue? A name of an interface? Anything?
Any help is appreciated!
