Hello, 
 
I'm trying to generate a report via the BIRT viewer so that the report document file is over-written, that is, there is only ever one version of report document file for each report. However, for each report request a separate report document file is created and the cache of report documents is growing. BIRT_OVERWRITE_DOCUMENT is set to true. Following is the URL that I am using to request the report: 
 
"http://153.184.16.46:8080/tirfreports/frameset?__report=ShiftReport.rptdesign&__showtitle=false&__title=Shift Report&ShiftDate=2009-03-13&StartTime=1060&ShiftDuration=710&DayOfWeek=Thursday" 
 
Within the In the BIRT WEB VIEWER Project the following folders are being created under the documents directory every time I run this report: 
 
documents (folder) 
BIRTDOCE665CE6858AC2A328C84B3C91ADFA50B (folder) 
20090319_155643_517 (folder) 
report (folder) 
ShiftReport.rptdocument (file) 
20090319_160056_192 (folder) 
report (folder) 
ShiftReport.rptdocument (file)

report (folder) 
ShiftReport.rptdocument (file)

Does it matter if you add
&__overwrite=true
to the url?

Also you can specify the report document using __document=myrptdoc.rptdocument

Thanks for your reply. Your suggestion stop the creation of the folders under the documents directory every time the report is run using the URL: 
 
"http://132.159.14.45:8080/tirfreports/frameset?__report=ShiftReport.rptdesign&__overwrite=true&__document=shiftreportdoc.rptdocument&__showtitle=false&__title=Shift Report&ShiftDate=2009-03-13&StartTime=1060&ShiftDuration=710&DayOfWeek=Thursday" 
 
Now, however, I am noticing that the the same thing is happening with report images. For each report request a separate report image file is created and the cache of image files is growing. This report contains a company logo in the top right hand corner of the report. These images are being cached under the images directory:

The viewer has a context listener that should be cleaning these images up.

hi,

can you please help us out as we are struck up with the below issue.
we are running multiple reports using iframe,
for the first time when we run reports,any 2 of the reports are not running,but when we refresh all the reports are running fine.

what we observed that in the documents folder first they are not being generated but when we refresh they are being generated.
