Line height In PDF report

I am generating report using BIRT in PDF format. My requirement is to use the maximum possible space on the page to save real estate. For that I am looking for a method to remove the space between two line displayed in the PDF report. I tried to reduce the fixed line height to 0. But there is no effect on the report generated.

I tried to remove the cell padding and cell spacing, and changed the values to 0, but seams they also don't have any effect.

What ever change you make they get reflected in HTML viewer but when try to generate PDF report none of them have any effect.

So if there is any round about to solve the space issue in PDF report generation is of great help.

Please suggest.
