Add the table and Data Source/Set to a report library. You can then use the component in any report that includes the library.

Sorry so long in getting back to you with an answer. Using a library is very easy.

Add a new item to your project, of type "Report Library"

Open the new Library inside BIRT

Open the report that has the elements you want to share with other reports

Copy each element you want to place in the Library (right-click, select "Copy")

Go back to the Library, and look to the Outline view (lower left of the designer, by the Navigator.

The outline view will be a hierarchical representation of report elements.

You can paste elements into the outline view

Paste Data Sources into the Data Source Group

Paste Data Sets into the Data Set Group

Paste report components like tables, charts etc... into the Report items Group.

To share styles via a library, create a new theme and then either add new style to the theme or paste in externally-created styles into the theme. The theme can then be used in any report that has access to the library.

After setting up your library, you can use it in a report by going to the "Resources" tab and finding the library and selecting "Use Library".

Then you can use individual components in the library by right-clicking on them and selecting "Add to Report" or by dragging them from the library out onto your report.

Hope this helps, Good Luck!
