Birt Upgrade causing CPU to Spike on App Server
Birt24
Previous Birt v2.1.1
Previous App Server WAS 5.1
Current Birt v2.3.2
Current App Server WAS 6.1
We recently upgrade from Birt 2.1.1 to 2.3.2 in doing this we have noticed that are larger longer running reports are causing the CPU to spike and is causing us to restart the App Server. The issue appears to be ocurring in the CacheUtil.createSessionTempDir method. We performed a dump during the server restart and it seems the threads are hanging in this method. In researching it appears this file did change between the 2 versions. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Birt24

It appears the issue with the above has been corrected. We notcied that the server was throwing file name to long exception while trying to create the temp directory, but Birt v2.3.2 appears to have addressed the issue.
What would cause the temp directory not to be created on the first try?
