BIRT connecting to Performancesoft

I have a requirement to report from the Performancesoft standard database. Anyone know how to connect to the Performancesoft db from BIRT?

If you have the Data Mart Generation module with your Performancesoft installation, you can export Views data to an external data store (like SQL Server) for reporting.

Otherwise, if you have version 8 of Views or later, Views comes with a new set of Web Services you can use for reporting. The Views 8 installation also comes with a set of Actuate Information Objects you can access directly from the Actuate Birt Report Designer that implement the Web Services and let you pull Views data into your BIRT Reports.
