Calling birt report from external application

I have a problem with calling a Birt report from external JSF application. <br />
<br />
I deployed birt.war file and my_application.war on Tomcat. So I received two application /birt and /my_application. <br />
My application is based on JSP/JSF. All I need want to do is call report from .jsf file (which is a part of my_application), so I'm using .birt.tld in the following way:<br />

I've coppied birt.tld from /birt/WEB-INF/tlds/birt.tld to my_application/WEB-INF/tlds/birt.tld but I'm not sure it's a right step.<br />

I'm receiving the following error:<br />

I'm new in integrating birt with an external application so please help ... I need to fix it as soon as possible.

It is not sufficient to include the tld in your application.war, you also need to include viewservlets.jar to WEB-INF/lib (and I suspect any jars this might depend upon).<br />

But I'm not sure I really understand why you would do this. Does your birt application contain the birt viewer?<br />

If that's the case, all you probably want to do is provide a link/button that will redirect the user to <a class='bbc_url' href='http://localhost:8080/birt/frameset?'>http://localhost:8080/birt/frameset?</a>...<br />
<br />
Unless you want the report to be displayed within your application, in which case what you really would want to do is "merge" the 2 wars into 1 or write your own viewer.
