Birt Through Eclipse connecing to a remote DB

Hi Guys

First of all im a total newbie to BIRT and would appreciate any help you can give, Thanks in advance.

I am running BIRT through eclipse and wish to connect to a remote DB and create some simple graphs, charts etc.

I have it installed and it is showing a graph from a sample dataset that comes with BIRT, i just dont know how to connect it to a remote DB

If anyone knows of a good web page that details this or if anyone has done it and can maybe write a brief step by step for me that would be great.

May i add its a DB2 DB
