Birt RunTime genReport.bat

Hi, 
trying to run report and save its PDF/Excel output with following command of BIRT runtime genReport 
 
genReport.bat -f PDF -o testfile.pdf -F test_report.rptdesign 
 
but with this, it is generating PDF with AUTO option, how can i get the Actual Size/ Fit to Whole page PDF output? 
 
I am using BIRT runtime 2.3.2.1 
& referencing this link

i used information from

and in it i used follwoing to get PDF fit to page size. 
 
PDFRenderOption options = new PDFRenderOption(); 
options.setOption(PDFRenderOption.PAGE_OVERFLOW,PDFRenderOption.FIT_TO_PAGE_SIZE); 
 
 
it worked!!!!

Is there an option to do this across the url? 
 
because if I use only .../run?__format=pd... Birt generates the pdf with AUTO option, can I specify across the url that i want the "Actual Size" in url?

Hello togehter,

i'am a new member in the BIRT community and i'm very satisfied with this nice tool. But currently i've a problem with exporting the reports to pdf with the option 'Auto Size'.

I know there is no way to deploy the render option in the URL. mh10 wrote that i must define the following option:

PDFRenderOption options = new PDFRenderOption();
options.setOption(PDFRenderOption.PAGE_OVERFLOW,PDFRenderOption.FIT_TO_PAGE_SIZE);

But sadly i don't know there i must define this options? Or can you short describe the way how i can setup this feature?

Hi, I have a a report with a table. I added a Data element to one cell of the table. In this data element I display a column named Description. The description's size may vary. Since the HTMLRenderOption was not showing the whole text, I changed the overflow property of the cell where the data element is to auto. This added a scroll to the cell and now I can see the whole text by scrolling down. My problem is that I want to save the report as a pdf, and when I open the pdf I can just see one part of the text. What should I do?
I appreciate any help.

Do you have a height set on the row or cell that would cause it to cut off?

Check the whitespace property of the element. The default setting when you drag a dataSet into the design to make a table is "no wrapping". If this is set up this way, change it to "normal".
