Has anyone ever tried to customize the VF toolbar based on the examples given in the VF documentation?
I was wondering because when I wanted to do so I noticed that the step-by-step explanations and examples within the VF Developer's Guide for TST 5.5.2 (even the updated SP2 version) are not very exact. In fact, most of the sample code is incorrect, so the examples won't work.

I've sent an e-mail to the support about that but so far I've got no answer yet.
So, does anyone have a set of working examples that he/she would be willing to share?
I'd appreciate any information on this issue.

We've done a variety of customizations, mostly removing stuff from the menus, and adding a pull-down menu with common 'special' HTML characters like the Euro sign, TM, copyright, etc.

The docs are indeed a mess, and there are a number of things that simply can not be done, even though the docs say you can make certain changes.
