Parameters with birt viewer

Hey Guys

i created a basic report through eclipse
preview it and a parameter box pops up and reports works fine

However when i copy the report onto the tomcat server i want to deploy it on the parameter box no longer pops up, it just defaults to the default parameter thats set up.(if i leave this out nothing appears in the report)
I am using birt viewer 2.3.1 (i think)

any help on this wouold be appreciated

UPDATE
got it guys just had to add __parameterpage=true onto my url

The problem i was having was due to the fact i was entering the wrong url, i left out the "add __parameterpage=true" in my url
