Birt runtime 2.5 cannot generate report made by birt 2.5

Hello,

My report cannot be generated by birt runtime.
This is what I do:
1. download birt-runtime-2.5M5.zip.
2. run genReport hello_world.rptdesign, which is the sample file in ReportEnginesamples
3. It works.

4. Use birt designer "2.5.0birt-report-designer-all-in-one-2.5M6.zip" to open the same hello_world.rptdesign and save it as hello_world_2.5.rptdesign.
5. now genReport cannot compile it.

Is there anything wrong? or do I miss anything? my BIRT_HOME is C:Eclipsebirt-runtime-2_5_0, which looks correct.

Is it because the versions are different? birt-report-designer-all-in-one-2.5M6 > birt-runtime-2.5M5?

Hi Larry,

Yes, it is most likely because the versions are different. I would suggest downloading the new M6 runtime as well.
