Diagram images - High jpg compression from UML Datasource

Hey,

Pretty much summed up my question in the title: I'm extracting images from a UML data source diagrams which are 'blob' types. When displaying them in my BIRT report they come out with very high levels of JPEG compression, they're quite unsightly.

Does anyone know how to change image settings when using a UML data source? I hope to lower the compression or use another image format (is vector/png possible?)

Any chance you could post the uml and a sample report? You should be able to call a Java class in script or the expression to do a conversion.

Hi Zeromus,

If you are using an Image control in your BIRT report, are you setting both a height and a width? If so, I've gotten better images by only setting one property and letting the other one set automatically.
