Hi i am new to birt reports i am using myeclipse 7.1 for report generation in my report i have a column 'cost' i want to get sum of the whole column how to do this give me ur valuable suggestion

You are able to create aggregations inside a table. Look at the "Quick Tools" section at the bottom of the Palette in the IDE. You can drag an aggregation tool from there and a wizard will walk you through the setup.
