Unicode conversoion in BIRT

Hello friends,

I m using a column in my database, which has data as unicode (of Language other than English) I have used Jasper Report before which has soulution to convert Unicode in Escaped unisode...using function String.fromEscapedUnicode....
eg.

बर्ट ( In Hindi Language ) ( u092Cu0930u094Du091F ) ----> बर्ट

Do we have similar kind of option in BIRT...if anyone knows please share....its very urgent....any kind of help will be appreciated....
