URI images are not exported to PDF

Hi,

I am using the Birt 2.3.1, I created a simple rptdesign file with 2 images in it - one with URI, other with Embedded image.

When I view that using the Web viewer, both of them are visisble in html mode. Where as in PDF mode only - Embdded image is visible but not URI image.

If i deploy the same in servlet, both the images are not visible. I am using the scripted datasource.

Am I missing anything. Please provide the example code. I am desperately need this to meet my deadlines. Please help me.
