Are you meaning you want to tell the user that no data was retrieved based on the parameters they entered? Or something else?

There is no data for the query in the DB. At the time of the runtime exception 
"No Record(s) Found for the Selected Criteria" will be displayed.

I have reffered example in devshare which is given by u but this example is giving no data found execption for data layout table only. my requirement is for crosstab. 
please give me solution for crosstab.

Here is a solution that should work for any report item.

This report was built using BIRT 2.3.1 and the sample database.
