Unable to design or preview in RAD7.5.0

Hi,

I had designed a report using BIRT 2.3.1 in Eclipse, Ganymede. In this editor the report is generated properly. When i copy the .rpt file designed in eclipse into RAD 7.5.0 and try to preview or re-design the report, i get the below error as a popup.

The report file of version "3.2.17" is not supported.

Once i click on ok button of the popup, then the report will open as xml source file.I am using 2.3.1 jars of Birt but still getting the above error.

Any help regarding this is appreciated.

Hi Vijay,

It sounds like RAD 7.5.0 is using an older version of BIRT than 2.3.1. What version (like 3.2.17) shows up when you just create a blank report inside RAD? Is it 3.2.16 or earlier? If so, you either have to create your reports inside RAD... or download an older version of Eclipse BIRT.
