Pdf Font Settings

Hi all,

I have a requirement to generate a report in a regional language (Malayalam - an Indian regional language). There are some fonts supporting this language and I am using those to design the report and the display is proper in the BIRT Designer. But at the same time I am unable to view the same in PDF. While generating PDF its showing up some bits and pieces and not the proper way as it is shown in the designer.

I am using UBUNTU 9.04 and BIRT 2.3.1.

I need to port this application to some other location hence provide me a solution which is not system dependent.

Hello

You fail to state what version of Adobe you are using and also the fonts that are not displaying properly.

I would make sure you have the latest version of Adobe installed on UBUNTU 9.04, of which steps can be found on how to do this by Googling 'Adobe on UBUNTU 9.04'

Also when you view the PDF you can see what fonts are embedded by looking at the document properties then Fonts. This should show what font is used.

Hope this gives you some steps to work on.
