Hi everybody !!!

I use Birt in an java development.

It easy to use it, but I want have an number page on my page

.

I readed on this site the numberPage function.

But I want have the numberPage of each page in an table.

It is possible ?

Because I tried the properties component.getPropertie("numberPage") but the result is null.

Can you help me ?

You want to put the page number in your table? If so, you should be able to call the variable pageNumber. Does the autotext that you can use in the master page not work for you?

You can simply insert a data item of type integer and put:

pageNumber;

as the expression.

-OR-

You could use it in a type string and put something like:

"Page Number: " + pageNumber;

as the expression.

DataItem dt = new DataItem(autoTextPage.toString());

System.out.println(Integer.parseInt(dt.toString()));

and I tried String nb = autoTextPage.toString() but no value

Are you not using the designer? You won't be able to use the autotext outside the masterpage. If you want to call the page number within your report, you'll need to use the 'pageNumber' variable.

I tried LabelHandle.getIntProperies("numberPage")?, but nothing

You should be able to simply use the expression "pageNumber" for a data element or dynamic text box. You should also be able to use the variable inside the script methods for those elements as well.

int nb = numberPage; I must declare an variable numberPage before.

The variable is called "pageNumber", not "numberPage". Be sure to use the correct one. If you create a text item to display the page number in, you should be able to just make the text item text:

<VALUE-OF>pageNumber</VALUE-OF>

I created an variable call val, and I use an element which exist in my report. (call labelHandle)

This is my code :

String val = labelHandle.getProperty("numberPage");

but my result is always null.

It looks like you're trying to put <VALUE-OF>...</VALUE-OF> in a label. You'll need to put this in a text element instead.
