Import/merge a word document into report when generating - can it be done?

Hi,
I have a requirement to combine an existing Microsoft Word document (accessible from a local or network drive) with the generated output of a BIRT report.

Does anyone know of a mechanism, either to 'tack' a word document into report results at generation, or, a method to use a Word Document as a datasource
