Patching iServer Express?
al91206
Hi,
I keep noticing a change in the filename of the iServer Express download file name for Linux.
First it was: linux-iserver-express-100B.tar.gz - next it was linux-iserver-express-100C.tar.gz
Now it appears to be: linux-iserver-express-10sp1f1.tar.gz
Is it possible to update iserver express - if so how? I have been uninstalling / reinstalling, but now that we have users, etc it's getting harder and harder to do that.
Also - is there any way to tell what is new w/ this different installation? I checked the new features area, etc - but nothing noting a new version or new install file - only the filename is different.....
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks,
Al

Hi Al,
The download file reflects software version in the name of the file. You do not have to uninstall existing iServer Epxress installation in order to upgrade it to a new release. While re-installing the software choose the pre-existing installation directory and the installer will prompt you a question if you want to upgrade. Alternatively you could back up your enclyclopedia volume folder (C:Program FilesActuate10iServerencyc) and overwrite it on the new installation.
The release notes for the product are available to download from e.support site (<a class='bbc_url' href='

eSupport - Login)
