Info Console errors:"19060: Server name or port number parameter value is invalid"

We just downloaded BIRT iServer for evaluation to see integration with ClearQuest 7.1. Installation went thru fine as per instructions on website. However, when trying to run Information Console, we get the initial login window with Administrator account (blank password per instruction) on submission displays an error popup. 
Error message reported: "19060: Server name or port number parameter value is invalid" 
 
Please advice. 
 
Besides, Login for Admin Console runs indefinitely without any success.

What platform did you install on? What browser are you using? Did you use default ports for installation ? If so could you make sure that your firewall is not blocking port 8000 (used for iServer Express web services).

OS: Windows XP (Currently) and later also to include Windows Server 2003 platform at server end.
Browser: IE ver 6.
Currently using Default ports.

how can we verify that gateway could be blocking of port 8000? Since currently installation is on a desktop and also testing on the same desktop, I don't think there could be gateway blocking it at all. Still, let me know how to verify this and can provide more information.

For evaluation, we are following the guidelines provided on websites identified earlier.

BTW, since I am using BIRT to integrate with ClearQuest, I am able to use it with ClearQuest 7.1 but still no clue as to the cause of error when trying to run iServer apps.

The logs indicate that portmapper service is failing during initailization. Were you able to do complete install of iServer Express successfully?
Could you also check in your windows services to confirm if "NobleNet Portmapper for TCP" service is started?

Could you also check in your windows services to confirm if "NobleNet Portmapper for TCP" service is started? No such service found. I checked if Actuate iServer service had any dependency and none were found.

Snapshots attached. As for install, I had taken steps per instructions on the install notes using default options for install. No error was encountered. Unfortunately, this site does not take large files as attachement.

Besides, I am able to generate simple reports in CQ-BIRT integration but since iServer errors are encountered, not able to publish any of them. Snapshots attached.

Hi jaisinghal,
It sounds like the portmapper service did not get installed properly. You can install it manually from [InstallDir]/iServer/bin/portinst.exe (make sure you do this as an administrator on the machine). Alternatively you may uninstall and reinstall iServer Express (as an administrator).
