DataSet's query cannot surrport Native SQL?

i have a query SQL:
Select count(distinct tpcardid),bty from tpblob_data group by bty;
[throw error:Cannot get the result set metadata.
SQL statement does not return a ResultSet object.
SQL error#1:ORA-00911:invalid character
]

so birt cannot surrport native SQL manner,or not surrport functions like as "distinct"? how to handle this,for help emergency!

sorry,i found it,reason is the "semicolon",dont add it that's OK.
